Pedal | Current draw |
---|---|
Boogie Five-band Graphic | 25 mA |
Cleo | 15 mA |
DynaPlex | 15 mA |
Flux-Drive | 15 mA |
Flux-Five | 25 mA |
Gold Mine | 15 mA |
Grid Slammer | 15 mA |
Throttle Box | 25 mA |
Throttle Box EQ | 45 mA |
Tone Burst | 15 mA |
Note: The Throttle Box EQ has room for two 9 volt batteries, to give the pedal twice the battery life. They are wired in parallel, thus, so the pedal still runs on 9 volts. On that note, here’s what Mesa/Boogie has to say about external power for these pedals:
WARNING!!! To avoid immediate damage and voiding the warranty, the External Power Supply MUST be 9VDC with a NEGATIVE CENTER plug polarity and a jack plug size of 2.1mm x 5.5mm.
Now, I can’t say whether they just want to cover their backs, or if there are any extra sensitive components (such as charge pumps etc) in the pedals. But I’d stick to regulated 9vDC, just to be safe 🙂
